President Enterprise Corp. Signs Multi-Million Dollar Contract for Industri-Matematik Supply Chain Software

MARLTON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 1999--

Asia/Pacific's Top-Brand Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturer Leverages Global Logistics Capabilities of Industri-Matematik To Advance Strategic Growth Vision

Industri-Matematik International Corp. (NASDAQ:IMIC) today announced it was awarded a multi-million dollar software contract by President Enterprise Corporation (PEC), Asia/Pacific's largest consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer. PEC selected Industri-Matematik's Advanced Supply Chain Execution Suite - as part of the Oracle CPG solution set - to help the company meet the complex, global logistics challenges of its fast-growing enterprise.

PEC, which chose Oracle CPG over SAP R/3 enterprise software, cited Industri-Matematik's unsurpassed capabilities managing complex global logistics, multiple sales channels and high-volume order environments as key selection criteria. Additionally, Industri-Matematik provided Year 2000 compliance and localization features for the Asia/Pacific market, easing PEC's immediate implementation concerns.

"Our goal for the future is to continue introducing top-selling new products into the marketplace, as well as further develop our presence throughout the global market," said Mr. Yen, Executive Vice President, President Enterprise Corp. "In order to meet these goals, we must have a world-class information infrastructure, of which Industri-Matematik will be a key component."

Added Steven Chen, corporate planning manager, "The advanced supply chain execution capabilities of Industri-Matematik made us feel secure linking the fulfillment of our global strategic vision to the industry's top solution for the consumer packaged goods industry."

Faced with Year 2000 compliance issues, increased demand for its products, and the prospect of new, high-volume sales opportunities abroad, PEC found its existing legacy systems ill-matched to support the company's growth vision. PEC decided to invest in its future and opted for the proven capabilities of Industri-Matematik and Oracle.

"As more and more successful companies position themselves to contend in the high-stakes global marketplace, they are realizing the strategic importance of logistics execution," said John Geraci, senior vice president, global sales and marketing, and president, Americas, Industri-Matematik. "President Enterprise Corporation has already mastered making high-quality, fast-moving goods. Industri-Matematik will help the company through the next phase of its global evolution, enabling it to dominate market channels through strategic, profitable fulfillment and become a worldwide brand leader."
