Hi Elwood: Your CPQ shares will be worth $75+ in the not too distant future - so don't let the dips give you an ulcer. I always think of the guy who went on a yachting expedition in the Fall of '87 and was out of touch and did not know about the Crash. He got back about Christmas and rang his broker to enquire how his portfiolio had done when he was away - and was told "up 5%".

El: Analysts re-jigging DELL to $1.60 or $1.70 in Fiscal 2000. That's less than CPQ. The DELL p/e has got to give ,and the CPQ has got to rise.

I believe that CPQ will make $2.50 this year. By the end of the year it will be looking forward to 2000 with a forward p/e of near 30. Assuming that 2000 will be at least $3.0

El: EP is not able to say how he will spin-off AV. He doesn't know yet. He has to take on a massive partner and that might mean an equity deal involving some of AV shares. Then he has to develop some traffic. After that, he has to time the market in order to get the best valuation.
