Dynamic Mobile Data Announces Mobile Server Wireless Solution for Enterprise
and Internet Access

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 1999-- Connects Mobile Workers to
Enterprise Networks via the BellSouth Intelligent Wireless Network(SM)

Dynamic Mobile Data Systems, Inc. (DMD), a leading provider of wireless
software development tools and professional services, today announced the
availability of a cost-effective and flexible software product that enables
corporations to make their mission critical data, applications and processes
available to remote and mobile users. The new product, known as the Mobile
Server ("MS"), is a complete set of wireless drivers and controls for
Microsoft(R) NT servers and wireless devices. With Mobile Server, corporate
and standard off-the-shelf applications that use Open Database Connectivity
(ODBC), Mail Application Interface (MAPI) and Winsock can be wirelessly
enabled.

According to John Darienzo, President and CEO of DMD, "When mobile workers
have access to the same information in the field as they would in-house, they
become more productive, make better decisions, and respond to emergencies
with the appropriate sense of urgency. To our customers," he added, "this
translates to additional revenues, better customer service and growth
opportunities through the optimization of their workforces."

Key strengths of Mobile Server are its support for the nationwide BellSouth
Intelligent Wireless Network and its ability to utilize the compact, easy to
use RIM Inter@ctive(tm)Pager 950. Using the software development tools
included with Mobile Server and the RIM SDK, corporate and commercial
developers can build custom user interfaces including edit fields, lists,
dialogs, and menus that interact with those on the Mobile Server. Combined
with the BellSouth Intelligent Wireless Network, the Mobile Server makes it
possible to deploy applications that use the network receive, delivery and
read acknowledgements between enterprise networks and the RIM Inter@ctive
Pager 950.

"The Mobile Server solution when combined with the BellSouth Intelligent
Wireless Network provides a fast and easy way for corporations to offer
nationwide wireless access to critical information by their mobile
workforce," said Tom Langan, Vice President Wireless Access Devices and
Systems for BellSouth Wireless Data, "By integrating the RIM Inter@ctive
Pager 950 with the BellSouth enabled Mobile Server, enterprises will have a
powerful and wearable solution for their users."

A Software Developer's Kit (SDK) is also included with C++ library files,
Active X controls, documentation and technical support, so developers can
create custom wireless applications. The SDK provides developers with a rapid
development environment that supports connectivity to the Windows 95/98/NT/CE
operating systems, as well as non-Microsoft integrated radio devices such as
the RIM Inter@ctive Pager 950, the Palm OS, and other devices with integrated
wireless modems. With the included ActiveX controls, all of the power and
convenience of the Visual Basic programming environment can now be applied to
wireless application development.

The Mobile Server includes:

-- Databases - access and update capabilities to ODBC compliant databases
such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, SQL Anywhere, and Microsoft
Access.

-- Internet - supports wireless browsing for palm and handheld computers that
support Windows 95/98/NT and CE devices with a wireless modem.

-- Wireless Devices - supports a Winsock like API on the RIM Inter@ctive
Pager 950 and Palm devices.

-- Terminal emulation - 3270, AS400, VAX's, and Telnet can now be wirelessly
enabled.

-- Mail - supports wireless access to Microsoft Outlook and any other mail
package that supports MAPI interfaces.

-- File Transfer - supports full file replication over wireless networks.
