Penni, I found your post to be charming and entertaining. But, you are like that most of the time, so I don't think it is the drugs. Maybe you are getting over your fever, and getting your energy back?

Penni, if the drugs are affecting your brain, we should all be taking them!

miss penni, I don't think that the country is sinking into moral apathy. The polls consistently show approval of his job performance and disapproval of his personal conduct, but that the conduct is not reason enough to remove him from office. I agree. Don't they ever ask Italians or Germans these questions?

Penni,

I was much impressed with your imagination. When are you going to do the great romance of Jefferson and Sally. That could be the great, healing American grand opera. "Jefferson in Love?" The grandeur of the pas de deux between Clinton and Monica is diminished by Clinton gauchery and Monica's raw ambition. They're too close to us to really romanticise. Perhaps a three panel -- with Washington and Sally Fairfax -- a really grand story needing little dressing up for real romance. From high to low doth dissolution climb.

Keep that stuff on hand -- it really enhances your literary performance.
