Zead, I only respond to Rocky because I think that she/he/it/they is/are a bull in an elaborate disguise, trying to scare people on this thread into selling so that she/he/it/they can pick up shares for asong and make a killing on the stock in a few months. After all, s/h/i/t (got tired of typing it all) says things that are so convoluted that they can often be taken as both a bull and bear case for the company (see my last post). I actually happen to believe that s/h/i/t is really an artificial stupidity (as opposed to artificial intelligence) program running on Deep Blue, since chess is no longer a challenge for it. (Background on "Artificial Stupidity (AS)" - LONGISH) A few years ago, JIR published a learned scientific paper on AS. The premise was that, just like matter and energy, intelligence is conserved throughout the universe (there is just so much if it, no more, no less). Therefore, the "dumbing down" of the general population on this planet was a natural consequence of a fixed amount of intelligence being spread among more and more people. The scientists theorized that artificial intelligence machines were therefore a waste of time, since they would only exacerbate this trend. They then proposed an "artificial stupidity" machine, which, like antimatter to matter, would have to produce intelligence along with its stupidity, and the intelligence (not being used by the machine) would disperse through the general population. I believe that such a machine now exists, and we are some of the first beneficaries of this technology. So why aren't we all millionares yet? The machine isn't REALLY stupid yet, it is just developing. I can't wait to see what Rocky is saying a couple of years from now.
