Will be buying HSNS for the run up to March 15, 1999. News is Great and the company has a bright future. HSNS Says Conventional E-Mail Could Be Obsolete With The Release of Summus Video 2.0 DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 17, 1999--High Speed Net Solutions (OTC:HSNS) and Summus Limited will release the new, yet to be named, Summus 2.0 video based electronic mail product on or before March 15, 1999. Unlike all other products that use video to send electronic messages, the wavelet based Summus version 2.0, offers a larger picture with full audio and video synchronization; using regular phone lines (POTS) with unequaled resolution on machines that are 266 MHz or faster. For those with slower machines, the software offers a unique solution, able to process transmissions in full audio and video synchronization. Coupled with a pc camera, the 2.0 product will provide Internet and Intranet users to send all messages via video with a simple record and send command. To provide more personal electronic mail communication, the new product's address book even captures images of friends, family, and colleagues and stores them for future use. Recipients do not need a viewer to receive a Summus' video message. Once they receive a message they automatically receive a viewer, they can even choose to buy the product on line. The file size of the new 2.0 version is unparalleled. For example, a 30 second video electronic mail transmission takes only two minutes to download. One of High Speed Net Solution's advisors recently conceived a new interactive television format which utilizes the video based electronic mail product. The company is continuing discussions with an international cable network on the specifics of production and the show's debut. The program concept allows viewers to send their questions via Summus video electronic mail. Producers will select participants to appear on each show from those that send video using Summus' software. Both High Speed Net Solutions and the network will profile, segment and cultivate the data base's value. Those in the data base will be notified via video of upcoming programs and products that can be purchased. The software and if needed, digital cameras, will be sold on a revenue sharing basis through the network's website. "This product could be the basis for other TV programs, news, investment, sports, talk, even new game shows. We hope this will make life easier, more personal and more fun for everyone. We are particularly excited about distribution in the Pacific Rim, where audio electronic mail sales have been enormous since many executives do not personally communicate through typing text. We are currently discussing distribution with one of the top five U.S. ISP's, a large Pacific Rim based ISP, several retail conduits and private label customers along with a hardware manufacturer," commented High Speed Net Solution's President, Michael Cimino.
