The 200 ton sample rock is a fine-grained medium-dark-green aphanitic-looking hypabyssal kimberlitic dyke material without 1 to 4 centimetre phenocrysts that are in other diamond-bearing dykes. The dyke rock could contain a great many diamonds under .2 carat (about 2 millimetre), but it is questionable whether larger top-quality stones occur in such kimberlitic material.

The 6,000 ton sample will show whether the dyke actually contains larger stones or whether it was either a stroke of luck to have 3 top-quality large stones in such a small sample or the sample was salted!!
