Burt,

Actually I don't own any computer related stocks, other than ESOP options at my current place of employment.

There is no question that Intel was a great investment in the past. I'm concerned about the health of the industry going into the future, given the current pricing implosion we are experiencing. The graphics industry, where I am employed, is getting particularly disconcerting.

Burt, neither statement is possible. Intel never traded below $3 in 1983 (actually 2 59/64), and the best you could have done on a 1997 is a double, not a quadruple.
