This may have been covered before, but why is the price of the AtHome service different all over the country? It's 48.00 per month in the city in which I live, and most people I know seem uninterested in subscribing because of the price. (We have the service, like it now after the first seven month of slow service, which was finally corrected by tweaking the cable lines leading into our home.)

99% approve of the merger. That's why T/TCI/ATHM alliance will win big and RBOCs with xDSL will win small. T's goal is clear and supported by all the people involved both management and share holders. But RBOCs are half-hearted in deploying ADSL. Just like Ahhaha's post said, they rather want you to subscribe to their ISDN then ADSL. RBOCs can't convince themselves they can make money out of ADSL. A half-hearted man will not achieve things.
T is full hearted and right after the merger they will begin to lay the cable right away.
