Allen, Dell's model is build to order. they do include zip drives as a standard in some models which are sold mainly to corporate clients; if those corporate clients wanted the zips out they'd simply request such; and/or in a competitive situtation Dell bids the models with and without zip. As long as a client requests a zip, Dell will sell it and/or add it. Zip is one of the top two requested add-ons at Dell. Dell has been a main OEM seller of zips. Certain comments like that (Ken's) are so off the wall.
