I searched the web last night and I saw so many big numbers WR Former U.S. Army Personnel Chief Joins CSC as Vice President, Human Resources EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC - news) has named Frederick E. Vollrath, former head of personnel for the U.S. Army, to the position of corporate vice president of human resources. Prior to joining CSC, Vollrath served as a Lieutenant General and Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel for the U.S. Army from 1996 until his retirement in 1998. In this role, he directed all aspects of HR management and administration for the entire U.S. Army, which encompassed approximately 900,000 military and 250,000 civilian personnel. During this assignment, Vollrath was responsible for the development of policy and guidance during a period of enormous change in the military and was a spokesperson for the Army before the Clinton administration and Congress. He also played a key role in the creation of a new leader development process for senior management and led a major redesign and implementation of a HR information system for the Army headquarters and all of its field units. Vollrath received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami (Florida) and his master's degree in personnel management from Central Michigan University. He also graduated from the U.S. Army War College. Vollrath is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and The Conference Board Council of Human Resource Executives.
