The problem with the rumor (other than it may be just that) is that valuation is still a tricky issue at this level - Pixar is still mostly potential, albeit great potential. While I'd be very pleased with something like 2 shares of Disney for every share of Pixar (implying a value of about $70 for Pixar) - how do you rationalize it based on current earnings, revenues, etc.? In other words, even if folks believe a sale is imminent, who can predict the price?

Finally, any decision will be Steve Jobs' alone as he owns the voting majority of shares. For the right price, I won't complain, but I don't mind independence easier.
