Hi Freeus..I'm no technician but here is some TA from MarketEdge date
of 2/16/99. They say support is at 95.31 and place a sell stop at
94.20, anyway, FWIW...

COMMENT
Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD) indicates a BEARISH TREND
Chart pattern indicates a POSSIBLE TREND REVERSAL
Relative Strength is BULLISH
Up/Down volume pattern indicates that the stock is under DISTRIBUTION
The 50 day MOVING AVERAGE is rising which is BULLISH
The 200 day MOVING AVERAGE is rising which is BULLISH
LOOK FOR SUPPORT AT 95.31

RECOMMENDATION

STOCK SHOWS MILDLY DETERIORATING CONDITIONS SCORE = -2
IF YOU ARE LONG HOLD CURRENT POSITION; DO NOT INITIATE NEW POSITION
STOCK IS NOT A SHORT SALE CANDIDATE

Hi freeus. Looking to diversify a bit are we? <gg>

I just picked up 200 shares for 99.75. No more calls for me for awhile. Shares don't usually expire worthless!

Freeus- Despite today, EMC has held up well here...heading into a split in the next 3 months (6 months latest)...I would encourage you to think long in the 96,97 range....If we hit 95, I don't think it will be long..

This stock is very well-positioned for large growth in '99...some money may flow from the other horseman...

I agree that the market dosen't look good for the next while. My cabot news letter who ar ereasonably good at warnigs on the market say no new buying fro now.
I thnk EMC could hold up fairly well in a volitile spell but having said that I am likey vunerable.
