Duke ~ Just heard the NAZ 100 Spyder will start trading 3/10/99 under the symbol "Q". Opening price & component stocks unknown. Heard it may incl AOL, but how could that be possible - a NYSE stk trading on the NAZ 100 - unless they are making an exception to an internut stock?

Dick, once this market turns why wouldn't the techs be the place to be? They had a terrible 97-98 until this last run. Furthermore, most have had their RS turn to buys in recent months which should keep this group outperforming for next 1-2 years. We are all waiting for the next cycle or the transition to the 64 bit systems in the next 18 months. There's no reason why the four horsemen wouldn't benefit. I would add TXN, T, and WCOM to that list. And for stocks with higher batas look at RMBS and ATHM. The only problem are the valuations and the usual global issues. And it looks like we are well on our way to solving the valuation problem. Do you have a favorite bear fund to trade or do you prefer puts on the SPDRs? Janus 20 took the prize this year, but you may want to look at MFOCX ( this was the guy who ran JAVLX before he went off on his own ). Best regards.
