In fact, I could almost make the argument after observing this sector that there is a lag between the price of crude and the OSX with crude leading the way by a 2 to 4 day lag. I know foolish consistencies are the hobgobblin of little minds so I would never trade on that basis; if fact, the relative weighting of what drives this sector, the most, to me has always been event driven. That is why positioning leading up to the OPEC conference will be the major event story of the next month.
