Dad, I think the cheap part of the sub zero market is essentially a retail niche aimed at first time buyers. That means that you wouldn't sell many via the internet. I think what you want to avoid cannibalizing your own sales. Secondly, there is the issue of maximizing return on investment. Growth is always constrained by some factors, and in this case I think that Dell probably sees much greater avenues for earnings growth. In other words, they would probably prefer to build more server capacity than cheap desktop capacity.
