GV, Re: It will come as a shock to most people on this thread, but Intel was a pretty poor stock to own for most of the 80's.

During most of the 80's, Intel was just one of the supplier
for CPU(I remembered AMD had a much stronger position back
then and others like Motorola). I believe Intel began to
take off since the release of Pentium.

This just shows how great and successful Intel management
was(and still is).
