Thanks for your opinions Tom; you always have some good information to share. I've been out of Actel for awhile and I moved into TKLC which looks rather undervalued right now. Congratulations on your Xilinx stock; its shown remarkable strength in the last 6 months. I'm keeping a close eye on Actel; I noticed the price of Xilinx / Actel is now at 5.36; that may indicate Actel may be getting cheap again. If they can only execute on their plans with Gatefield, maybe they can catch up to the big boys. They're always hanging around but can't quite get to the next level. Boy this thread is really dead; I can't believe my post to you was the first since Dec 19 of last year.

Wishing you the best,
William Grady

Hi again

Actel has an exclusive marketing relationship for Gatefield's .25u and smaller FPGAs. They don't have an exclusive license for the technology which can be embedded in larger ASICs, etc. Also, they are already 6 months into a 2 or 3 year agreement.

If Actel believes in this technology, others will too. I can see Actel making a decision to buy BEFORE they make too much money from GATE. Right now they have an inside look at what the technology can (& can't) do. Once the product is being shipped in volume, the whole world will be able to judge it's value.
