Humble request, 006.9, please let us know if/when you come across an interesting Mac version of some kind.

Thanks!

Cheers,

This is for anyone wanting to write their own filter.

Here are the basics... You will have to write your own code past the basic stuff.

Run Telnet (go to preferences dialog and make sure local echo is on)
Select remote system
use: www.yahoo.com
port: 80

When you get a black square type this:

GET / HTTP/1.0
<CR><CR>

(HIT CARRIAGE RETURN TWICE (THats the <cr> above)

Thats the start of writing your own browser/scanner code

Hi ViperChick Secret Agent 006.9,
You mentioned my web site browsemaster.com in your post yesterday. Although I am flattered by the attention, I was not planning on introducing the product to the public so soon. One reason is that I was hard at work on a new feature yesterday. It's ready today.

If you liked the previous version of BrowseMaster, you'll love the new version. I've implemented a QuickScan mode to allow easy viewing of multiple messages, with all messages cached to allow easy navigation between multiple message screens and individual messages. If you downloaded BrowseMaster yesterday, you can update by clicking on 127.0.0.1:3456/update.pl?name=update111.exe&replace=update111.exe with BrowseMaster running on your machine for a hassle-free update.

If you do so, it will automatically pull down the latest version from the web site and start up the installer. You can not use BrowseMaster while the update is in progress. The best part about the new version is the QuickScan mode - it allows you to easily view lots of posts, with the ability to look at the whole post easily. You'll need to visit the Configuration page and update your Configuration if you want to use this great feature.

Please remember that BrowseMaster is a beta product at this time, so let me know if you find any problems with it.

Craig
