Andreas,

If you don't think Vivus as a small biotech company is not worth $2.00/share then I suggest you cut your loses and turn your "investment" money into cash or into another security. Part of owning this stock is accepting that we have a CEO that is an inept moron who doesn't know his a#%&*s from a hole in the ground. It is this very aspect of Vivus that allows the stock price to trade at unreasonably low levels as compared to similar companies in the same sector.

Look at Zonascam. Yesterday they had earnings and missing estimates big time with a loss of 53 cents and the stock only dropped 1 1/2 point to 27. It is a known scientific fact that Vasomax's efficacy is just a bit above placebo. FDA clearance is questionable. Sales in the only market available to track (Mexico) absolutely suck yet the stock still seems to defy gravity. Why? Because IMO ZONA has a tough CEO and the company keeps spinning this idea that just because they have a pill, they are going to make a lot of money.

I won't say that MUSE is a great product. I would say it is a good product but it is certainly not as convenient as a pill. The safety profile is far superior to Viagra. MUSE will never get the media hype that Viagra received. The only way MUSE will have strong product sales is by better marketing and detailing of the product to the PCPs throughout the world.

I feel that Leeland Wilson is a bastard for telling us in the October conference call that he was "very pleased" with the negotiations and then in the December press release to say that Vivus was making "significant progress" in its partnership negotiations but then refused to say anything in the January 28th conference call after keeping the share holders waiting for something to materialize after 7 months. I feel that if he could not have produced a domestic partner by now, then he had no right to make such statements. I also have NO respect for the Vivus board. I don't believe any other effective board would tolerate such incompetence by its CEO. What is the Vivus board waiting for at this point? For hell to freeze over? If that's the case then they are not doing their jobs and need to step down come this spring when board members start their new terms.

Lee Wilson and Co have a consistent history of slow execution. We are in an impatient market. Investors demand immediate results otherwise they lose interest in a stock and move elsewhere. The market moves on emotion more than logic and currently IMO the market's emotions towards Vivus is that we are long overdue for an effective CEO who can efficiently execute a business plan in a timely manner. This is what CEOs are SUPPOSED to do!
