<<These differences can greatly alter how a companies statements are compiled>>

Doug,

You purport to to be enlightened, unlike some who post on SI, but your credibility is lessened when you mess up plural possessives (i.e., it's 'company's' not 'companies'). Or are you such a numbers guy that proper English is secondary? And I know it's a cheap shot.

Doug, lots of companies have to report for both Canadian and US regulatory authorities and it is not that big of a deal. Normally, differences relate to reporting requirements and timing of reporting (for example - Canadian reporting does not yet require a fourth quarter report as does the US, although Canadian securities commissions are moving in that direction). For those companies that become listed on a US exchange, they simply start reporting as per US requirements in addition to the Canadian requirements. The rules are straightforward and there are lots of accounting firms out there familiar with them.

Bid.Com does appear on Edgar. Their Registration Statement filing appeared there yesterday if you want to take a look at it.
