Fred, The financial world probably buys the majority of Sun Workstations sold every year. The bulk of Tandem's business goes to financial institutions as well. Having worked extensively with marketing departments in the PC world, I feel fairly comfortable saying that the bulk of PC users are oblivious to +-20% performance. I have a PII-233 on my desktop. My productivity would not be improved one iota by upgrading to a PIII. If I could figure out a way to get my engineering team to think 20% faster, that would be a different matter. Scumbria
