Laurie felt the plush carpeting against her cheek. She had always dreamed of riding in a Kenworth conventional double sleeper. Chapter 23: Once Again He Fails to Pull the Puppeteer to Earth

"See them?"

"No."

"On the wrist!"

"You're scaring me."

"I'll prove it."

With twenty yards to build speed, he tackles the cloaked figure and yanks the strings attached to its wooden wrist. Soon airborne, he quickly realizes he cannot dislodge the puppeteer from his invisible dirigible and lets go.

"Bastard!!!"
