I also read this post but surely it is misleading.

1) $140m is the minimum price not the maximum if there is a buyout

2) If nothing pans out there will admittedly be a lot of stock around-
I reckon ALO will hold 5.6m shares if all $40m is used and not repaid-
but this does not of itself mean that the price of ASCT will be zero.

3) If ALO does go ahead with a buyout why does this not include the
debt ? If after options there are 12m shares the payout will be minimum
$12 or thereabouts.

I go back to what I said last time that this has become a decision about
how well the company performs over the next three years.

I think it is depressing because once the hype has gone it is clear how
badly ASCT needed more cash and I can think of other companies
where I would rather wait for FDA approvals- and then once those hurdles
are over how well the approved product sells- than this one.

Nevertheless the post you refer to overdoes things in my opinion.
