LS,I heard on WBBM radio Chicago today that 16% of Americans intend to take all their money out of the bank before year 2000.This sort of herd mentality will probably grow as the time draws nearer.I would further assume these same people who distrust the banking system will have even less confidence in equities.Shortly after they spoke of the 16% they mentioned that the National Guard is preparing for the worst case scenario and will be active on 1/1/00.Oops meant 1/1/2000<g>.
I wonder what your thoughts are concerning this issue in regards to it's affect on our markets? For myself I intend to lighten up and stay that way till I'm certain of direction. My fear is the herd;why get trampled?

Dave

Edit:Later this year I think it's gonna get ugly due to redemptions etc.I intend to steer clear till after July.

So rather than tell me my lists are skewed

Personally, I get more trades, and make more money, off your lists than other source. (Assuming I didn't get LCOS from your list, I don't think I did.)

Just as an exercise, as my list really doesn't come together until shortly before 9:30, when I've had a chance to sponge off of the people who work for a living.

Bear in mind that when I'm putting together my list, I'm not necessarilly looking for stocks that will go up, just stocks that will have a large enough range for me to take a little out of, long or short.

GTW (It's worked the last couple of days, DELL proxy, currently)
WCOM (Pissed that I posted that 79 7/8 sell signal and didn't take it. Want revenge)
SEEK (Cheapest portal, but usually has good range)
PFE
U
MRK
WMT

The last four are there just to have some proxies for other sectors. If there's a rotation from tech to other sectors, I'm ready. If it all blows up, I'm ready.

>>why don't you guys post a watch list of what we should be looking to enter tomorrow. <<

My list is an easy one. Almost always in a correction I sell good stocks (smart) and then wait too long to get back in or don't get in at all (dumb). This is them from last week

NSCP (=AOL, I guess)
COMS
SUNW
ORCL
QWST

TCOMA (=T, but that was from 2 weeks ago)

I held CIEN today, and I believe that if you don't sell in a down market, you're a buyer. So I guess I bought CIEN, and ONSL.

PSFT, UNFY and COMS are three stocks I'm watching today. PSFT and COMS are also on a couple of other people's watch lists. Unify Software came in with some pretty good earnings last night.

As I'm still a novice trader, please take this with a shaker of salt.
