Doug I am not denying that eBay has multi million registered bidders but where exactly did you find these numbers. I would be interested in comparing the numbers of this statistic for online auctions.
Also keep in mind those are the numbers for registered bidders. A registered bidder I do not believe includes anyone who is purchasing the sound cards.

Doug,

Why do you always seem to forget eBay has been around for 15 internet years longer than Bid.Com? Don't you think it might take some time to grow your customer base?

Btw, I wonder how many registered users eBay had when it first listed on Nasdaq? How many came as a result of all the talk about its lofty valuations? Have you considered either of these possibilities?

Denise.

Doug

I seem to recall some "concerns" as to the continued viability of BII due to their cash position.

Here is a quote from the Edgar filing:

"As of February 8, 1999, the Company had cash on hand and short-term
investments of approximately Cdn$19.0 million. In addition, as of February 8, 1999, the Company had outstanding 4,938,609 exercisable options and warrants which expire at various time during 1999 ("Exercisable Warrants"). The exercise price of the Exercisable Warrants range from Cdn$1.40 to Cdn$1.75, and on February 8, 1999, the closing sales price of the Company's Common Shares on the TSE was Cdn$7.00."

They have cash and short-term investments of $19 million with another $7 million to come. They also mention no financing is required for 1999.
