For whomever is interested: Follow up on CNN's Fortune show segment on EBAY that aired at 10:40 PM EST 2/17/99. The EBAY segment mainly focused on the growth of the company from "humble" beginnings in '95 selling some PEZ dispensers through today boasting two million subscribers. The report generally described the company and auction site as a Worldwide-Hometown garage sale. Interviews with the founder and customers focused on the people EBAY has helped and the recent problems it has had with fraud allegations. It ended by hyping the stock a little noting the share price growth since its IPO in '98 and the recently announced 3 for 1 stock split, and noting the Garage Sale industry is a $100 Billion per year market. Gave no mention about any of its competition. John L
