Tomasso, Where I would strongly disagree with you is that there is a HUGE difference between using a 14.4 modem and 56 for the Web and downloading. So rather than going to a faster CPU, most folks would be better just upgrading their modem. Yogi

Sometimes get a better ISP helps. Even though your modem is 56K, the traffic between your ISP and your computer maybe less, depending on how crowded the ISP modem bank is. About adequate equipment, I have a different opinion. You can make the same argument about cars (can drive that same car of yours for another 4-5 years) or other stuff, even cut the expensive items in your grocery bills if you do not have the money. Bottom line is consumer spending. Tim JMHO of course.
