I talked to someone at LG in Korea and they indicate even though they are back to work and will ship some product 2nd half of this month that was already in the backend, March will be a big gap as no product was being made during the strike,or walkout.
What does this mean, well each to his own interpretation, but it could help keep things from being softer than usual, or keep things tighter than usual. Seems to be plenty of product but majors are not pushing the price down, except for some minor players trying to sell to third tier, second tier accounts.
This may have no bearing on where MU might go.
What if Intel decides not to come out with RDRAM chipsets in June? Could this be positive for Micron who is just starting to get involved in RDRAM?
It might mean MU can ship more SDRAM longer and make more money, than if they are pressured to start building RDRAM too earlier and have to give up wafers to a lower yielding RDRAM product. That would be positive to MU earnings for the next couple of quarters.
Does anyone have a bottom for MU? or is it following the Naz?
Good trading.
