The above statement and a hand full of change will buy you a cup of Java at most restaurants .

>>Sooner or later, IOM's technology will be surpassed. It appears to me that IOM disks are priced too high and that has hindered a totally widespread use of Zip and Jaz. Presently, the market is not hooked on IOM's products. Present users of Zip and Jaz have not developed loyalty. They and potential users of the portable storage media will go to the more affordable and realistically priced products.<<

Do you expect Iomega to just stand still? They've already leap-frogged the HiFD competition by bringing out the Zip 250.

On what do you base your statement that the market is "not hooked" on Zip and Jaz? Do you think that someone who has a bunch of Zip and/or Jaz disks will just toss them all away because something less expensive comes out?

As for Iomega's disk pricing, I agree that they might have been able to sell more if they priced the disks lower, but I think that they are driven by the market in that regard. When the time comes to take additional action in disk pricing, they'll do it.
