Excuses, excuses.

Sure there was volume. But actually, the overall volume on Nasdaq was not exceptional today, we've had far greater. And so what if Dell had high volume? What does that have to do with my MSFT quotes freezing?

As to volume - get used to it. First it was not particularly high - but anyway, it will likely be higher in the future. So now what, everytime we'll be making excuses for quotes freezing? Maybe a more robust system needs to be developed instead. Reminds me of the joke about Boston Municipal Services: This year, Winter again surprised the Boston Municipal Services, and so the roads are not cleared of snow. Every year.

Growing pains are fine. But this has been going on how long? And anyway, what good does it do me, when I can't trade? Do I say to myself: "growing pains"? For how long? One month? Two? A year? Ten years? How long do you propose? Please. This is not rocket science.

This is the kind of thing one is used to hearing from the web-based discount brokers - "due to heavy volume". I thought we just heard from the top guy here about how you come to Cyber precisely to AVOID such problems. At a pretty price too. Not nice to charge for use of quotes and software and then not deliver - see, same service, higher price.

And finally, you are flat out wrong: not all quote services were malfunctioning today. You talked about other "popular systems" as comparison... I've got news for you: I used Datek today - the streamer (which sometimes is erratic), was working perfectly today. So there.

Enough excuses. That and 50 cents buys you a cup of coffee. I want reliable quotes, not reliable excuses - after all, the whole point is to be able to trade.
