Dave,

I have migrated to only doing options that trade at least 10,000 or more across the various strikes a day. This provides the liquidity that you need to get the best fills and ability to move a position quickly as needed.

This limits you to OEX, DELL, MSFT, CSCO and a few others.

Dave,

Internet stocks have a much greater volatility than OEX and still have 1/16 -1/8 spread. Not surprising to see that a group of firms are getting together and talking about opening up an electronic options exchange. They could cut the spreads and still make a nice profit.

To All: When placing a spread order if a firm cannot get you an execution between the inside-outside spread then you should be doing business elsewhere no matter how discounted the commissions are.

Good Luck

Ken

Dave,

I sold OEX 625 calls OEYBE for 7/8 expecting to either cover of leg in late in the day.
