I have been making a similar read on certain Dow Industrials stocks for years. In my opinion, they are used against one another daily to camouflage intent. When the “big boys” are ready for JQP to react and or note direction, most are moved in unison.

I have also isolated a select group of NASDAQ issues that are used the same way.

I track all of the select stocks above daily on an intraday basis.

Vitas, I was looking at some of the stocks that comprise the
Supercap index....and you are absolutely right ...they are fighting
each other......

Interesting that MSFT , DELL, AMZN, and YHOO to name 4 are cascading
lower as other stocks such as Ge and the spx are holding up reasonable well....this is the mirror image of the decline last fall where,
AMZN, yhoo, dell etc only broke down during the later stage of the market decline.
