David, excuse me for interrupting but I believe you. I have had an experience at a young age when I was outside of a church with a buddy and we were cussing, smoking cigs, and all of a sudden I turned around and I saw a man in a robe and a full beard. I looked away to see if my friend was watching and he didn't seem to notice. When I turned around, the man was gone. I have also, like you had strong spiritual urges to do a certain thing and I have of course felt the power and comfort of the Holy Spirit. How this started was that I said that no -one had received any further prophesies because our Lord's Word is complete in the Bible. When people get up and prophesy and speak in gibberish, I always look for emotional instability. Usually, using Benny Hinn as an example, people think they are healed, when in fact all they had was a psychological illness. Santiago

David, Thank you for your boldness and sharing some personal testimony openly with Bruce. People balk at the thought of God speaking with anyone these days as they forget that He remains unchanging, He is still the same God who spoke with His servants in the Bible. I agree with Santiago that He will not add to His word as it is a complete prophecy and those that have published works of "God Told Me to Tell You" are disproved with time. His Bible is complete. What you have shared is not in that light. I have found as have others as well that when the Lord does talk to us He will often direct us to His word. He will also give clear instruction either to reprove or encourage His servants or direct us specifically to do something and never going against His established word. If it can be counted as prophecy I have known Him to advise that an illness in an individual (cancer)was "not unto death". The end result working together for good as the persons parents were drawn by the Lord through her testimony and they were consigned to Christ. Your post to Bruce was a tremendous blessing to me, again thank you for your boldness. Your servant in Christ, John
