No way will I hold DELL through another earnings release. Too risky, too many eyes on stock and market doesn't seem to expect anything less than perfection from DELL. I've learned my lesson.

I still have 1000 shares left. If I can manage to meet my margin call I'll hang on to them till the split.

You know powershred, I wanted to sell at 100, but I just made the mistake of reading the posts on this thread. There was too much optimism. I guess that should have warned me, for I had the same situation with the PER thread. But interestingly, when PER and DELL crashed, I realised that the people who had been so optimistic had been the first to exit, leaving us - who were looking to sell anyway - holding the stock thru the crash....

Maybe posting with so much optimism and conviction is not a good thing for the general public health...and maybe we all should remember that even though we are responsible for our own decisions, we sometimes inadvertly influence others.....

>>DELL got next qtr to prove skeptics wrong and then have to have the following qtr in the bag before they make the rest believers....

imo, it's less a matter of proving the skeptics wrong as helping the analysts set reasonable expectations. Mr. Softee is the best at that game, so maybe Michael should get some mentoring from Bill.

Insane dell volume; I wonder if we came close to the nasdaq 1 day record? Liked the way it showed support at 80; I was afraid we'd see low 70s based on the aftermarket reports. I've heard dell being discussed on my other threads (msft, csco, intc) by serious investors, and think some money may be moving in. Let's hope it's quick enough.
