Even if I did (I didn't--maybe you are confusing me with someone else) it doesn't make any difference because the "Sharpy Eye" will be CHEAPER and FASTER, clock for clock, whether you back it up with 2 MB or 512k of cache.

Look at it this way, Paul. You could buy a K6-3 450 MHz with 2 MB l2 on board, but in order to match the performance you'd need a PIII-500. The cost of going from a PII-450 to a PIII-500 is significantly more than adding that extra 1.5 MB of EL CHEAPO cache on the motherboard.
