The IBM LINUX news story should help MSFT's case--an indication of how competitive it is. Just because the COMPAQ witness did not want the alternatives to Windows, does not mean there are not any. Just ask IBM.
This case is about to take a turn for the better for MSFT starting today. It is basically going to die quickly. Win or Lose the case, MSFT wins big.

I would not be surprised if IBM "bundles" Lotus Suites with the offering.

The more i think about, the more this case is turning into a joke or just theatrics. The real evidence is for all to see.
1. AOL/Netscape deal---I believe the MSFT exec who stated AOL did not want to weaken the case
2. Apple O/S is out there--just because Compaq has no access to it does not mean they are barred by MSFT from negotiating with APPLE.
3. IBM Linux biz is the icing on the cake!! I guess IBM could not wait til after the trial.<g> It probably has something to do with sale of Lotus suites

BTW-The more i think about those IBM giving Pc biz to Dell, i realize there was only one reason for it.--To push Lotus Suites with Windows on dell PCs (maybe on the low price models). Just waiting for such a decision.
