Dear Nancy; For God through Isaiah to write something that he or his audience had no chance of understanding would be a type of lie. Belief that only through special understanding can the Word be understood is called gnosticism and it is an old heresy that comes back in many forms. The Word of God must be available for whosoever to believe. Any teaching which denies the verbal plenary inspiration of scripture is heretical.
