A fully populated ASX4000 can cost roughly between 750K to 1m. Typically these type of network has between 30 to 100 nodes forming an ATM network. This does not mean that the network could not grow to many many nodes, with the type of ATM routing and topology support that FORE has, it can. These SP/ISPs orders are probably signifcant, that's why FORE is beefing up its staff quite a bit by hiring close to 1000 people. Without these commitments going into future, I don't think they'll hire that many. imo. And as always, FORE can be taken over any time.
