<<Here is a thought---World denomination through the repression of true value of all tangible products....( My own ! ).....Could this be modern day imperialism or capitalism?
......In a business environment, the corporate monster attacks what it fears the most.>>
Eric,
Very nice theory! have heard something much like this from some of the far right wing Christian religious types. Rub, is that the producers are very capitalist as is W. Buffett.

Computer says "BUY GOLD'...................

AIS Capital Management Announces Investment Opinion on Tactical Asset Allocation Accounts
(Last updated 5:00 AM ET February 18)

WILTON, Conn. (BUSINESS WIRE) - AIS Capital announced today that it recently allocated a 20 percent portfolio position to gold in its TAAP tactical asset allocation portfolios. TAAP is a totally systematic proprietary computer program developed by AIS Capital to provide tactical asset allocation in four asset categories, U.S. equities, fixed income, cash equivalents, and gold.

An AIS spokesman described the allocation to gold as significant for two reasons. First, it was the first allocation to gold in almost four years. Second, an allocation to gold requires a rigorous two step filter process. The computer model must provide evidence of both an absolute buy for gold, as well as relative buy criteria when compared to either equities or bonds. In this case the computer model signaled a relative buy for gold versus bonds.

AIS stated that the price relationship between bonds and gold offers a unique insight into the tug of war between inflationary and deflationary factors. Both are very large actively traded markets with participation from major global investment portfolios. Bond prices have been rising relative to gold prices since 1980, reflecting the dominant secular trend of disinflation. AIS stated that it is obviously premature to tell whether this recent change is a temporary interruption in this secular disinflation trend or the beginning of a major trend change signaling higher inflation. However the spokesman noted that money supply growth, which leads inflation, has been growing rapidly for the past 12 months.

The TAAP asset allocation program makes significant shifts among the four asset categories. When fully invested it may allocate up to 80 percent to either equities or bonds and up to 20 percent in gold. If the model identifies all long-term assets in a high risk category the portfolio will go to a maximum of 100 percent cash equivalents. At the present time, the portfolio allocation is 80 percent equities and 20 percent gold bullion.

AIS Capital Management is affiliated with AIS Futures Management. The futures affiliate offers a diversified managed futures portfolio called MAAP. MAAP takes long and short positions in sixteen different markets within six asset classes, equities, bonds, currencies, energy, grains, and metals.
