herb, that is a good system!...I too would be ahead if I had a disciplined sell system. Greed always sets in when you have no projected sell number. The whole tech sector seems to rise in am and sink in pm.....I think it is looking for a base!

Wait a second, this is an outright stupid way to trade or invest. It's a zero sum game unless she is right on the direction of the stock more often than she is wrong. Moreover, given the tendency of stocks to fall out of bed more easily on the down-side than the up side, it is clear that it would be much more difficult for her to adhere to the 18 percent on the downside. Furthermore, if she is a trader, then 18 percent is far too great a loss to take. At most, 10 percent should be the maximum.
