Good PR here too:

biz.yahoo.com

Been watching you bench warmers and crossing my fingers for the "real" PR announcement.

yes: this is terrific news for navarre; it means that a company with the clout of cmgi sees enormous potential in the netradio business. i wouldn't be surprised to see someone try to buyout navarre -- certainly to get that piece of netradio that navarre controls.

Did they mention Net Radio at all?
How do you KNOW it is NETRADIO...
it mentions an upstart Radio company...NAVR is FIFTEEN years old.

Me thinks this does NOT mean NEtRadio...
Note the word VIDEO and audio broadcasting....
Note that the former NBC exec would head it....what about the NEW NetRadio CEO?

NEW YORK (Variety) - Internet investor CMGI Inc. said Wednesday it is teaming up with former NBC President Neil Braun to create an Internet broadcast venture that will compete with Broadcast.com and RealNetworks.

Andover, Mass.-based CMGI will commit more than $100 million to the company, which will deliver live audio and video programming over the Internet.

The service is expected to debut in the second quarter. A name has yet to be determined

<<Great News for NetRadio>>
I wish!!!...The article states: "Neil Braun, who will head the company, said the still unnamed firm will debut during the 2nd quarter of the year."....Definitely not NetRadio...I'm afraid this is a new competitor for NetRadio...and for Broadcast.com....and is being bankrolled by CMGI...I would love being corrected if I'm wrong...
