So what is the plan, Oshinsky? Let us suppose you have some personal information about me - will there be more threats to put a cigar out in my face? Will you actually send around some thugs to punish me for screwing up your plans? I want to be prepared.

Seriously, suppose you got some personal information on me, suppose I even sent it to you, then what? Why do you need to know it?

To All: In post #605, to which I am addressing this post, Mr. Oshinsky claimed that the General Counsel of Go2Net (SI's parent company) instructed him on how to properly request and receive the identity of any SI Member.

This concerned me personally because of Mr. Oshinsky's threats against me, for which he was suspended under his SirAlexx name, but it is a matter that should concern all SI members. If people become afraid to post opinions contrary to those of posters who appear mentally unstable or vindictive, for fear of being harassed and threatened in real life, the quantity and quality of posts will shrink, and diminish the SI experience.

So I inquired of SI, and was pleased to receive this response:

"First, a person's account information is *only* given when we are served a subpoena demanding that information. It's my understanding that only a judge can sign/issue a subpoena.

Second, steer me to the post where he talks about his conversation with our inhouse counsel and I'll take it up with our counsel directly."

This is good news for everyone who crosses paths here with thugs and promoters trying to keep their scams going a little longer.

Although it is theoretically conceivable that Go2Net's General Counsel doesn't know SI's policy on this matter, the odds are extremely high that, once again, Oshinsky has been caught lying. He either never spoke with Go2Net's head lawyer, or that person told him the exact opposite of what he posted. Why am I not surprised?
