"not a follower of herd concepts..... if that is the case and if you are a true contrarian...then buy and hold is not the herd concept..in fact it is diametrically opposed...look at the turn over ratios in most mutual funds...you should ascribe to this unique time proven concept...for it is not in favor...hence the volatility and choppy nature of the market... and if you have the vision to see loss of excellence long before others...you are truly gifted....and should benefit always... you fall in to the same trap that most do...forward vision based on past data, that you are not privy to the reality of...econometric models, forecasts...if they all held true, and the masses followed as they do, then they would reap significant wealth...we know this is not true... as far as coca-cola....to again quote the passe thinking of the diminutive investor, mr buffett.." if you gave me $100 billion and said take away the soft drink leadership of coca-cola in the world, i'd give it back to you and say it can't be done" with your infinite knowledge and models, knowing that c-c has such a high pe (which means nothing to the imbibers of the drink)...how would you take market share, remove the banana from the gorilla's reach and starve him into submission....and do it swiftly enough...before he finds another bunch to sate his appetite...i'm curious, kind sir...thou constantly theorize, but what real world application does your more than agile number analysis provide...you can't grow a successful business with " a one day at a time, let's see what tommorrow brings" state of mind....nor can you succesfully invest....
