My Dear Taby,

Was it Plato who said, "the truth is a shadow on the wall"?

I think Mr. Fahmy is simply saying that he is not taking anything for granted. You are admitting that you are.

His model will result in less surprises and may result in better investment decisions. I don't think he is necessarily a poor learner because of this, quite the contrary.

If you "know" what INTC will do, congratulations. You should be able to parlay that knowledge into some tidy profits in the months ahead.

Good luck,

Chris Carlson

Taby,

< I expect INTC to beat estimates in the coming report and you agreed with me. What is your argument?>

Yes, I did agree that I think Intel will beat estimates. My "argument" is with your hype not your conclusion. Your claim was that management said, not implied, that they will meet estimates. Management said no such thing and there is a big difference between saying something that specific and revenue and margin guidance. Frequently a company's management will come out and say that they are comfortable with estimates or they expect to meet estimates, etc. Intel's management has said no such thing as you stated. I take strong issue with people spreading misinformation regardless of whether or not I am long the stock. This type of mis-information/hype is what detracts from these boards.

So go ahead and prove me wrong. Show me quote or one article or one interview where anyone at Intel has said that they will meet estimates this quarter.

<Are one of those shorts who pretend they are long and make
negative comments about the stock thinking they have credibility and will cause the stock to go down? huh?>

Yeah that's it, you're a genius.
