Mohan, I must believe that Dell recognizes this problem. How to solve the problem is another question. I for one have tried to use the web site tech support and gave up. It's easier to call Dell's tech support. I found that its to hard to find the answer to a specific problem. The info on the site is general in nature. Using the "chat" feature of the tech support area is a hit and miss situation. Further, it takes to long to get a response to a question, assuming that you ever get the response. Most people who have a problem don't want to wait for an answer, they want the answer now.

As I said, I must believe that Dell understands this situation and has a plan for its resolution.

I am no computer novice and I far prefer to talk to tech support than slug through someone's online help system. If I have a human to speak to, I can just ask my question and get an answer. I also get additional information that I often did not even know I needed. Granted that Dell's system may be better than most, I still think many folks will insist on personalized service. Others will just plain need the hand-holding.
Perhaps Dell could offer limited telephone support with a fee after X number of calls?

God help Dell if my father-in-law bought a sub 1k computer from them. He would eat the profits in a week of calls!
