Company Press Release MDU Communications Inc. Announces Successful Marketing Launch RICHMOND, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1999--MDU Communications Inc.(OTC BB:MDTV) is pleased to announce that the introduction of the company's MDU Digital Satellite System has been very well received by the Canadian property management and development industries. In November 1998 the company completed and tested four demonstration sites. The company began marketing its service in December 1998 and to date this marketing program has resulted in the signing of approximately 100 multi dwelling buildings and townhouse complexes, totaling over 8000 dwelling units, to letters of intent and access agreements. An additional 40 buildings, totaling over 3000 dwelling units, are currently involved in the presentation process leading to further letters of intent and access agreements. MDU Communications has been working closely with many of the leading housing developers to integrate the company's digital satellite system within their buildings during construction. MDU is presently installing systems in buildings being developed by Bosa Development Corporation, the largest condominium developer in British Columbia. The company is also installing systems for Appia Developments Ltd, Bosa Ventures and Dalex Developments. MDU Communications is currently working with property management firms which, in total, manage in excess of four hundred sites in the lower mainland of British Columbia. Included in this group are firms such as Baywest and Crosby Property Management, two of the largest property management firms serving the lower mainland strata and rental property markets. There are in excess of 250,000 multi dwelling units in the Vancouver lower mainland.
