Tom, glad you started this thread. I hope it turns into something good.

Just a few comments. I would define up front if this thread is for day traders, position traders, long-term investors, etc. It sounds to me as if this thread is not intended for the day trader - novice day traders rely on blow-by-blow accounts to get a "feel" for how others trade. I find that if the rules are clear (no Penny Stocks, no Pump and Dump, etc.) and objectives defined (i.e. thread to share research on potential investment ideas only) then the garbage is limited.

Most people at SI tend to be short-term traders who are looking for not only investment ideas but also entry and exit points - more specifically, how one came up with their entry and exit points. If this thread is not intended for both then I would make that clear as well.

Celebrating successes are important - it's important to build enthusiasm. As you know, it's easy to keep score when investing. Sharing failures are important so that others learn from our mistakes. You know that I like to share my successes (and get overly enthusiastic at times) and I will share on my recent bomb (WAXS) as well.

Just some suggestions so that people know right away whether this thread fits what they are looking for.

Good Luck!
