From a story on zdii.com:

<<Personal computers priced under $1,000 now account for the lion's share of demand and are increasingly affecting corporate PC prices. In the last quarter, the under-$1,000 machines accounted for 13.2% of all sales and 100% of the unit growth from the third quarter. Indeed, the rise of sub-$1,000 machines has dramatically slowed overall revenue growth. World-wide PC revenues are expected to increase just 3% this year to $172 billion, while unit shipments are projected to rise 16% this year.>>

Now, there's a revelation.

I almost wrote him with links to some of this thread's analysis on PC demand and such. But I thought, why? He'll just drive the price of puts up beyond what I want to pay for 'em. I still don't have any AMAT puts, since I hope Cramer and his pals will drive it up first. Then, Cramer will sell, after he sees emachines go public (the next Dell -- theregister.co.uk and buys at the open, and all his ex-favorite stocks will snap. Wishful thinking, I suppose. mb

Earlie, But Cramer would rather not know facts, especially on technology. That would spoil the entire tone of his "think" pieces. <g>
