I know alot of "average guys" (and gals) and they seem to prefer INTEL chips inside their PCs.

Very true comment. And branding is very powerful, no argument. But
branding and performance/quality do not necessarily go hand in hand.
Your statement "seem to prefer" is just that. SEEM. And that sells Intel vs AMD. No argument there, but not necessarily better either.

If we're talking price/performance, there is no advantage in buying Intel.
